Masada Israel (comes from the word Metzud'ah meaning fortress in Hebrew) is the site of the fortress built by Herod the great King of Judea, but is best known as a symbol of Jewish resistance, courage and the tragic events of the Great Revolt of the Jews against the Roman siege.

One of my favorite of the little hikes is the Meshushim pool (means hexagon in Hebrew) in the Yehudiya Nature Reserve. Situated north of the Sea of Galilee and of the small community called Had Ness on road 888, the pool is located at the bottom of a deep canyon, walled in with hexagonal basalt rock formations, flowing water and cascades.


Zaki Trail - an amazing water hike for the whole family

The Zaki Trail, the last leg of the Meshushim stream flowing from the Yehudiya Nature reserve into the Sea of Galilee, is one of the most amazing water hikes in the country.

Shvil hatapuzim is a great park to visit with children of all ages. Winter activities include orange picking, juice making, and inflatables.
The water park is open during the summer, offering a swimming pool, water slides, rain room, kayaking and other water activities.
