The number of amazing Israel Bed and Breakfast completely took me by surprise. There are literally hundreds scattered throughout
the country. From my experience, they are truly some of Israel's secret hidden treasures.
In the growing Israel rural tourism market, these establishments are emerging as an affordable quality alternative to mainstream
hotel accommodations. Run by farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs, most Israel B&B's are scattered throughout Northern Israel
and the Galil. In fact, Lisa and I spent the entire month of August 2011 visiting some of our favorites and meeting with the owners.

A Finish style zimmer - Cabin at Farm 81, Amikam
What a great experience! I enjoyed every minute and am looking forward to many more of these trips
as we expand our listing.
These are mostly family owned and operated businesses. Each Israel Bed and Breakfast owner we met
with had a unique and amazing story to tell about the history of the area and how they built and
developed their business. As a result of our experience, we proudly present to you only our top
picks arranged by region:
Jerusalem
The Almond Tree - Ein Kerem
This beautiful Jerusalem zimmer is located in one of the capital's most picturesque areas. The Almond Tree
is at the center of the beautiful village of Ein Kerem (meaning Spring of the Vineyard in Hebrew),
and is also home to owners Yona and Moshko Susner.
Ein Kerem Suites - Ein Karem
This beautiful and secluded Jerusalem Bed and Breakfast, Ein Karem Suites is located on a hill
overlooking the beautiful village of Ein Karem only a 15 minute drive from the center of Jerusalem.
The Coastal Area
Cabin at Farm 81 - Amikam
For an amazing experience in agrotourism visit Zimmer B&B Meshek 81 (meaning Cabin at Farm 81 in
Hebrew) near Zichron Yaacov. The beautiful settlement Moshav Amikam situated just a few kilometers
east of Binyamina and Zichron Yaakov is surrounded by hills, beautiful orchards, and even vineyards
in an area known to locals as the 'Tuscany of Israel'. Only a 20 minute drive to the beach,
40 minutes from Haifa and 50 minutes from Tel Aviv, this amazing location is perfect as a northern
base for your family vacation.
Grushka B&B - Binyamina
In the heart of Israel situated between the Carmel mountains and the sea, you'll find this lovely
Zimmer in Binyamina; B&B Grushka run by Gerda (Hedva is her Hebrew name) Grushka. This area boasts
a rich offering of beautiful white sandy beaches, crystal clear blue waters, luscious green
landscapes, adventure tours, hiking, and a wealth of other attractions for the entire family.
'Just for the View' - Zichron Yaacov
If you are looking to get away from your daily routine and away from the big city, then this accommodation unit is just for you.
Just under an hour away from Tel Aviv in the picturesque town of Zichron Yaacov facing the beautiful view of Mount Carmel is
a stone styled Zichron Yaacov Guest House - Bshvil Hanof ('Just for the view' in English) offering luxury, peace and quiet.
Northern Israel
Artist Quarter Guesthouse - Safed
In the beautiful ancient streets of Safed (also spelled Tsfat, Tzefat, Zfat, Zefat) is the lovely B&B called Artist Quarter Guesthouse. Literally within the exquisite alleyways of the old artist quarter you will experience a combination of both ancient charm and modern amenities.
Neve Ayala - Hazor Haglilit in the Galil
In the quite town of Hazor Haglilit, situated on the main road to northern Israel, is Zimmer Neve Ayala. This lovely bed & breakfast sits on the mountain slopes in a pastoral new neighborhood surrounded by villas.
Ecological cabins at Mitzpe Matat (meaning The Matat Lookout) are located in the middle of the beautiful natural forests of the Galilee. This is the home of Dina (our host) and her family. Dina and her husband arrived in Matat over 20 years ago, when there was little more than trees and wildlife. They built the town together with a few other families.
One of my favorite villages in the Golan Heights is Had Ness. Overlooking the Sea of Galilee, on
the north shore you will find this quiet sleepy village and the wonderful hospitality of Kharma on the Golan Heights.
Israel Bed and Breakfast Top Tip - For each area, we have given you a few top choices to pick from. They are all fantastic; each one with something unique to offer.
Bikur Na'im! Have a great visit
